In Ireland we operate as BT - formed through the acquisition and merger of Esat Telecom and Ocean in 2000. We have a team of more than 1100 people and are head quartered in Dublin with offices in Cork, Limerick, Galaway and Waterford.

Network
We have 100 percent control of our own network assets in Ireland, and an ability to reach any destination through agreements with other suppliers. Our domestic network covers more than 2500kms across 13 large towns and cities. Through connection to BT's international network, Irish customers have a true end-to-end service for their voice and data needs with connection to more than 200 countries around the world.

Customers
The Republic of Ireland has become an important location for Microsoft. Two of the company's largest centres outside of USA are both based in Dublin. Microsoft Ireland benefits from greater resilience and increased bandwidth.
