Al-Noor Ramji has a unique understanding of how IT can be used to achieve business objectives. As BT Group CIO he is responsible for the creation of a single IT unit within BT, a transformation that’s bringing together various internal IT resources into a single entity that’s totally focused on customer satisfaction. Al-Noor’s approach merges best practice IT processes with advanced communications services and customer interaction technologies – enabling BT, and its customers, to thrive in the emerging digital networked economy.

Before joining BT, Al-Noor was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Qwest Communications; he was the founder and Group CEO of Webtek Software, one of the leading software houses in India; and he was previously the Global CIO of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. He is also a non-executive Director of Misys plc, the global software products and solutions company.

Al-Noor is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a BSc in Electronics from the University of London. He is married and has two children.
