MobileXpress™ from BT has been named a winner in the services category of the MobilTrax Mobility Awards, 2006. The awards are organised by computing and wireless data communications industry analysts, MobileTrax LLC. They recognise innovation in mobile computing and wireless data communications products and services that were launched in 2005.
MobileXpress is a BT managed service that lets users connect to their corporate network simply and quickly with just a single click, whether they are travelling, teleworking or roaming across one of 19,000 Wi-Fi Hot Spots. Once connected, users have secure, reliable and cost effective access to corporate information at any time across 170 countries.
“MobileXpress was launched on 31st October 2005 and has been gaining momentum ever since,” said Rocky Mahajan, Director of Mobility, BT International. “Customers are telling us that this is a powerful solution that enables them to provide secure access to their increasing numbers of flexible workers. This will become increasingly important as Ovum forecasts that the remote access market will grow from $2.15 billion globally in 205 to $3.2 billion by 2010.”
The MobilTrax services award is the latest accolade for MobileXpress. MobileXpress was previously recognised as “Best Managed Service” at the World Communication Awards, 2004.
