BT IPSec a a feature rich service offering:

  • High security
    By using encryption, tunnelling and pre-shared keys, BT IPSec offers assured data confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity.
  • LAN to LAN and PC to LAN connectivity
    BT IPSec offers numerous access methods including fixed line, DSL, LAN Dial and remote access; as a result the service can connect sites in over 150 countries.
  • Resilience options
    BT IPSec offers a full range of resilience options to ensure the highest levels of availability for mission critical sites and applications.
  • Bandwidth prioritisation
    Where you want to run time-sensitive applications (for instance video conferencing) or give precedence to critical information you can reserve bandwidth to preserve data flow.
  • Integrated client
    The BT Remote Access client interworks with the Cisco System IPSec client to ensure your corporate security policies are maintained across access points.
  • MPLS interworking
    Interworking with BT’s advanced MPLS global services allow cost-effective coverage in hard-to-reach locations.
  • Secure LAN Dial
    With work patterns changing a secure LAN Dial options ensures that even small and home offices (where a fixed line would not be cost-effective) can connect securely to the corporate network.
  • Round the clock monitoring
    The network is monitored all day, every day of the year. All routers are checked every 5 to 15 minutes.
  • Web-based core network performance reporting
    Latency and packet-loss statistics are updated hourly at www.bt.net, so you can monitor network performance conveniently and accurately.
  • Automatic fault management
    Most network problems are identified and handled proactively, before services are affected. More stubborn faults are escalated and dealt with promptly, in line with our service agreement.
  • In-country helpdesks
    Our local helpdesks work in local languages to answer questions and keep you informed about fault management.
  • Unbundled service option
    Where appropriate we can also offer an unbundled service, with IPSec routers supplied and managed by you.
