Common Management Interface
One of MMP's key differentiators is the Common Management Interface, or CMI. MMP's CMI makes it possible to enforce policies and define consistent elements across every product in an organisation's messaging infrastructure. The CMI is designed to:
- Reduce IT administration, maintenance, and support costs
- Simplify management tasks and lower error rates
- Provide delegated administration responsibilities - including end-user self-provisioning
- Empower the enterprise with options for granular control of services and policies with the choice to delegate management to the domain, group, and user levels

The CMI consists of a policy management console for creating and managing policies, and a policy repository. There is also a policy enforcement and workflow engine to define structure hierarchy (company, organization, group, users), filtering policies and resulting actions such as quarantine. Additional graphical administrative tools simplify management and ensure a consistent set of principles is applied.
