With BT Onevoice Mobile Access, customers and prospects can significantly reduce the cost of calls made to international destinations from their mobile devices.
The BT Onevoice Mobile Access service can be used on all mobile devices, on all (GSM) mobile networks in 23 countries around the world. By using this service, all international calls made from the end users’ home country are re-route to BT’s global Onevoice network – which will dramatically cut the cost of the calls by leveraging BT’s off-net termination rates.
Using the BT Onevoice Mobile Access application will ease the use of the service even further. Compatible applications are available to over 150 different mobile devices. The installation of the application is very quick and easy, as is the use of the application on the mobile device.
To install the application, the end user visits a Web site to register the mobile device. Once registration is complete, the software can be downloaded with a few simple clicks. The software is activated by the user switching the phone off and back on. Once the software has been activated, all international calls originating from the calling party’s home country are redirected to the BT global Onevoice network for termination to the called party’s phone.
BT Onevoice Mobile Access is currently available for mobile devices that support the Java (One Touch dial solution) or the Symbian operating system (Automatic dial Application). The One Touch dial solution is available on the latest Blackberry devices as well. Support for older Blackberry and Windows Mobile-enabled devices will be available in soon. BT Onevoice Mobile Access is based on the operating system of the mobile phone; therefore users can enjoy the cost saving benefits of the BT Onevoice Mobile Access regardless of which mobile operator’s service they subscribe to. In addition to ease of use, BT Onevoice Mobile Access users also benefit from built-in resiliency. If, for whatever reason, calls cannot be routed to the BT Onevoice global network, calls will be redirected to the user’s mobile operator’s network.
