We at BT are in the midst of following our own roadmap to operational efficiency and convergence. Our 21st Century Network (21CN) aims to support and deliver the benefits of convergence to our customers by merging our own multiple networks into a single IP infrastructure.
Operational Efficiency has enabled the London Borough of Waltham Forest to reduce the administrative overheads associated with managing multiple networks. The result so far is cost reductions of almost £1 million.
Travel industry leader, Amadeus, has optimised its performance and productivity through a high-speed global network as well as migration to a converged voice and data platform. The new streamlined infrastructure will reduce costs by over €18.3 million in a three-year period.
