Improving customer service at Caixa Galacia

Spanish financial institution, Caixa Galicia, chose Cisco Systems and BT as technology partners to create a five-year roadmap to improve internal efficiency and customer service. BT delivered:

  • A converged IP voice and data network for 550 branches

  • 3,200 Cisco IP phones (initial rollout)

  • An end-to-end IP telephony solution with Cisco products and services:

    • The Cisco CallManager call processor
    • The Cisco Unity Platform
    • Cisco IP telephones
    • Cisco catalyst switches
    • Cisco 7200 series routers router
    • Cisco AS5000 Series Universal Gateways.

  • In the subsequent phases of the project, Cisco’s wireless technology will be incorporated for advanced services in the bank’s entire network of branches and the company’s headquarters.
